Helen Kardiasmenos is a highly passionate educator who wears various hats as a Digital Technology leader in Sydney, Australia. She is the Technology, eLearning and Innovation leader at PLC Sydney, where she leads teachers in the effective integration of emerging and Digital Technologies, ICT and digital literacy across K-6. Helen also shares her knowledge and experiences with pre-service and early career teachers at Swinburne University as a Sessional academic.

Her recent Action Research ‘Plugged into Unplugged: Teaching Girls to be Leaders and Coders with Technology” saw her become a finalist for the 2020 NSW Guild Research Award: for Excellence in Research. She was also awarded the 2020 ICTENSW Leader of the Year award.

Helen is a former project officer with the CSER as part of the University of Adelaide. In this role she trained teachers and schools across K-12 with implementing digital technologies across the curriculum. Helen is the founder of ToweringTechnology blog and smore. She is Certified Google Innovator #VIA20, where founded Nano Bites Education, Google Certified Educator (Level 1 and 2) and Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert and Microsoft Trainer. Helen is also a Certified Lego Serious Play Facilitator, who can run Lego Serious Play workshops. She is a certified Neaprod and WeVideo Educator. Helen is a Seesaw, Makey Makey and Kai’s Clan Ambassador.
